MFIC Corporation is located at Newton, MA and through its Microfluidics division it manufactures industrial submicron processing equipment for worldwide markets.
MFIC has developed a full line of laboratory, pilot and production scale Microfluidizer® processor equipment utilizing our patented and proprietary technology featuring our fixed-geometry interaction chambers.
MFIC is initiating several exciting projects using our Microfluidizer Mixer/Reactor (MMR) manufacturing. A strong marketing effort will reach out to companies producing pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, catalysts, coatings, inks, and other products that can benefit from our unique nanoparticle manufacturing capability.
We will build laboratory MMR systems, develop a broad series of reaction chambers to allow optimum management of specific nanoparticle-forming reactions, and build a manufacturing-scale MMR to demonstrate its capability. We will also conduct in-house product development programs in applications such as polymer nanoparticle production for delivery of potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) - including insoluble injectables and genetic therapeutic materials targeted to cells - and APIs in nanosuspensions for injection and for transdermal and oral formulations.
