MedaSorb Technologies is located at Monmouth Junction, NJ and has developed a new platform technology that efficiently removes toxic compounds from the bloodstream.
Current state-of-the-art blood purification techniques are not designed for this purpose and are inefficient at removing these toxins.
The company has developed several different medical devices targeted for ESRD and critical care applications. The BetaSorb(TM) device is designed for chronic use with hemodialysis. MedaSorb's principal commercial alliance is with Fresenius Medical Care for our dialysis application. Fresenius, the world's largest integrated provider of dialysis products and services, holds exclusive worldwide marketing and distribution rights to the BetaSorb(TM) device for use in the treatment of kidney failure.
