Advanced BioScience Laboratories Inc., (ABL) is located at Kensington, MD and it exists to provide practical solutions to the many obstacles associated with the research or product development goals of our customers.
ABL's scientific staff has years of experience in the field of infectious diseases and has recently developed a multivalent subunit HIV envelop vaccine that is in phase I clinical trials.
Here some highlights of the services ABL provides:
GMP: ABL offers manufacturing services of biological products for use in Phase I and II clinical trials. ABL can also provide the essential services of process development, optimization, and scale-up.
Animal models: ABL maintains a separate state of the art animal facility. It is USDA-licensed, AAALAC-accredited, and OPRR-assured. It is operated under BioSafety Level 2 containment with BioSafety Level 3 practices. ABL complies with the "Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals", the Animal Welfare Act, PHS Policy and other applicable laws. ABL has a Category 1 assurance of compliance with Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (Assurance Number A3467-01), issued by the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, NIH, PHS, DHHS. Our highly trained and experienced animal facility staff can work with clients on the necessary animal models to meet their research needs.
